Get to Know Tamara K. Robison, DDS

Dr. Robison believes that working with children as a pediatric dentist is a privilege, and she takes the responsibilities that come with it very seriously. Every child in her care is given compassion, attention, and prevention education that will serve them well beyond when they outgrow our office. She brings over 30 years of experience to our practice and exudes heartfelt gratitude for having the opportunity to work with growing smiles brimming with potential.

Do You Have Any Unique Dental Expertise?

Dr. Robison has established productive partnerships between private and public entities to promote and improve access to dental care for low-income families. As Dental Director for a mobile outreach program, she has worked collaboratively with her medical colleagues in hospital dentistry and pediatric anesthesiology.

Dr. Robison can provide full-mouth rehabilitation to young patients unable to safely tolerate treatment in a traditional setting. Her focus on the prevention of early childhood cavities through oral health screenings, counseling, and dental referrals for pregnant mothers is on the leading edge of what is now recognized as the oral health systemic link.

Dr. Robison is a key opinion leader with Edge Elevation Group, a partnership among dental trade organizations that contributes to advancements in the provision of high-quality and safe care for people with special needs. As the East Coast representative for the Florida Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, Dr. Robison is actively involved in fostering collaboration among colleagues for educational initiatives and professional development within the pediatric dentistry community.

Where Did You Study Dentistry?

Dr. Robison received her Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree from the University of Washington before obtaining her Specialty Certificate in Pediatric Dentistry at Nova Southeastern University. Before joining us, she practiced at a pediatric dental office in Reno and a general dentistry office in Seattle. Today, she is a certified Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry as well as a member of the American Dental Association, Florida Dental Association, and American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry.

Outside of the Dental Office, What Do You Like to Do?

Dr. Robison loves anything and everything to do with space, but when she isn’t thinking about the stars, you’ll most likely find her playing golf or holding down the bass chair in her church’s band.
